Colac Strawberry Topping Sauce adds a ribbon of red strawberry to ice cream, gelato and sorbet, to pancakes and cheesecake, and to hot or cold drinks.

Colac make it in Belgium with 17% strawberry purée, and it comes in a 1kg bottle with an anti-drip cap, so it squeezes straight onto the dish with no spoon or jug.

What Goes Into Colac Strawberry Sauce? 

The base is glucose-fructose syrup and sugar, with 17% strawberry purée for the fruit. Pectin and modified corn starch thicken it, and two added colours, carmine (E120) and carotenes, give it its red. Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans, but none of the 14 major food allergens is among its ingredients.

How to Use Strawberry Sauce 

Squeeze it over ice cream, gelato or sorbet for a quick sundae, or run it around the inside of a glass before you fill it with a milkshake or a hot chocolate. It is good over pancakes, waffles and cheesecake, and it is the finishing drizzle on our Ruby Chocolate Shake. Store the bottle somewhere dark and dry at up to 25°C; unopened, it keeps for 24 months. Pairings and Ideas
