Ethical Policy

Keylink Ltd’s ethical policy is more than a statement on a piece of paper; by putting our commitment in writing we are making our ethical policy visible to everyone at Keylink Ltd, and our customers and suppliers.

Keylink Ltd Management have a major role in setting an example and communicating how this policy is applied throughout the organisation, and it is important that every employee understands this policy.

Our code of ethics demonstrates that Keylink Ltd will operate responsibly and in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations. Specifically, Keylink Ltd will promote ethical business practice by demonstration, ensure equal opportunities, provide a safe and healthy work environment, value diversity in the workplace and provide a safe route for people to highlight non-compliance.

These practices sit alongside our principles of trust, integrity, and act at the heart of our business. Our ethical policy forms the backbone of our dealings with our suppliers, customers, and staff.

Wage and Benefits

Every member of staff at Keylink is paid a living wage and a profit/performance related bonus. We believe staff welfare is important, so we also offer extra benefits such as access to a wellbeing service.

Working Hours

Our staff work reasonable hours, typically Mon-Fri with a maximum of 42.5 hours per week. Overtime is rarely required. A healthy work/life balance is both encouraged and supported, and staff will normally always get at least 2 days off per week.

Employee Views

Keylink Ltd listens and responds to views and opinions. This may be through formal and informal meetings and one-to-one discussion. Staff will be involved in decisions that affect them.

Grievance and Issues

Keylink Ltd operates processes that enable staff to raise grievances and concerns and have these concerns fully investigated and resolved. These processes are laid out in the Employee Handbook.

Health and Safety

Keylink Ltd actively promotes a safe working environment for its employees and will do its utmost to ensure that local legislation regarding health and safety is adhered to by both the employer and the employees.

Employee Conduct

The expected conduct of Keylink Ltd employees is laid out in the Employees Handbook which every employee receives on joining Keylink Ltd. A high standard of professionalism and integrity is expected when dealing with customers and suppliers.

Forced/Child Labour

‘Modern Slavery’ refers to the crimes of human trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced labour, forced marriage, the sale or exploitation of children and debt bondage. Within Keylink there is none of the above, and we have a whistleblowing box which staff can use to report any concerning activity. Our staff have the right to enter into employment with us voluntarily and freely.

We are committed to reducing the likelihood of Modern Slavery within any part of our business and are aware that as part of our extended operations there is an ongoing risk of slavery occurring in supply chains. To help us monitor this, suppliers are asked to complete Supplier Assessment Questionnaires.

Suppliers

We will seek mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers and recognise our position as a market leader in our industry. As such, we will settle accounts promptly and efficiently. Contracts agreed with suppliers must be honoured.

Gifts and Improper Payments

Gifts of money, goods, services or other favours must not be asked for or accepted.

Bribery and Corruption

We are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings, wherever we operate. Bribery and corruption damage business and Keylink Ltd will have no part in such activity.

Environmental Issues

Keylink Ltd adheres to all the current legislation and local environmental laws. Strict compliance is carried out with regard to waste disposal and the separation of cardboard, paper and ingredients.

Compliance with Laws

All our dealings must be in compliance with relevant legislation and local legal rules at all times. Keylink Ltd cannot accept circumstances where any employee allows a situation to arise where our company may not be in full compliance with all applicable laws.
