Colac Raspberry Cuberdon Topping Sauce is a taste of Belgium's own sweet, the cuberdon, in a sauce for gelato and layered desserts.

It gives a burst of raspberry flavour from an anti-drip 1kg bottle, and Colac produce it in Belgium.

What Is a Cuberdon? 

The cuberdon is a sweet native to Belgium and still little known in the UK, and its flavour is raspberry. This sauce is a raspberry-flavoured syrup of sugar and glucose-fructose syrup, thickened with modified corn starch and xanthan gum. Its deep colour comes from carmine (E120) and vegetable carbon (E153). Carmine is made from insects, so vegetarians and vegans should avoid it. No major food allergen appears in its ingredients.

How to Use Cuberdon Sauce 

Pour it over gelato or vanilla ice cream, or pipe a layer between cream and sponge in a glass so the stripe shows through. A zigzag over waffles, a meringue or a cheesecake gives a sweet, fruity finish. For real fruit alongside the flavour, pair it with our Ravifruit Raspberry Purée. Shelf life is 24 months unopened, stored dry and away from light at 25°C or less.
