Colac Cherry Sundae Topping is cherries in a rich sauce, and more than half of every jar is fruit, ready to spoon on hot or cold.

It is made in Belgium and packed in a 1.15kg glass jar, for building ice cream sundaes, filling pastries, topping pancakes and waffles, or lifting a cheesecake.

How Is a Sundae Topping Different from a Sauce?

A topping sauce is for drizzling; a sundae topping is spooned, with pieces of fruit you can see. Here cherries make up 55% of the jar, in a syrup of glucose-fructose and sugar thickened with corn starch. Colac add no colours and no flavourings, so the deep red and the taste are the cherries' own. It is suitable for vegans and vegetarians and contains none of the major allergens.

How to Use Cherry Sundae Topping 

Spoon it straight over ice cream, gelato or sorbet, or warm it through and pour it over pancakes and waffles with whipped cream. It makes a quick filling for Danish pastries and turnovers, and a glossy layer on top of a cheesecake. In our Cherry Chocolate Trifle it goes between the layers. Away from light and damp, below 25°C, a sealed jar lasts 24 months; once opened, keep the jar in the fridge and use within 3 weeks.
