Chocolate eggs have symbolised Easter for the best part of two centuries, and dark chocolate is the classic choice. Each box brings 315 ready-made dark chocolate hollow eggs — slim 4.4g shells, 39mm tall — ready for filling, sealing and finishing in your own style.

These are the eggs for the more sophisticated corner of the counter: deeper cocoa notes that stand up to bolder fillings, and a darker shell that makes metallic foil and bright colours sing.

How to Use Hollow Chocolate Eggs 

Pipe in a filling with a little backbone — espresso ganache, dark salted caramel, cherry, orange or a nutty gianduja — then seal the opening with tempered chocolate and dress the shells for the season. Bright red and dark green aluminium foil squares look striking against a dark shell, gold is a classic, and all three colours come as 355 x 600mm sheets as well as pre-cut 80 x 80mm squares.

At 4.4g a shell, one box becomes 315 finished eggs.
