Smok'd Ginger Mocktail

Ingredients

  • 4cl Van Houten Milk Chocolate Ganache
  • 130ml Whole Milk
  • 2cl Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1cl Fresh Ginger Root Juice
  • Large Ice Cube
  • Q.S. Black Pepper
  • Candied Ginger Strip (optional)

It's smoky. It's spicy. It's pure fire in a glass. Treat your customers to the perfect everyday escape. This mocktail brings the heat of ginger, the zestiness of lime and the sweetness of milk chocolate into one warming experience — perfect for a crisp, autumn evening.

How to Make a Smok’d Ginger Mocktail

  1. Make your milk chocolate ganache ahead of time by combining 100g Van Houten Milk Chocolate Drink Powder and 80ml water.
  2. Heat the milk and melt the milk chocolate ganache into the hot milk.
  3. Mix the lime juice and the ginger root juice together.
  4. Pour the hot chocolate mixture onto the juices to separate the milk from the juice.
  5. Filter into a dripper for 30 minutes.
  6. Put a large ice cube into a glass, pour the drink over the ice cube and add a twist of black pepper.
  7. Garnish with a candied ginger strip and serve.
