The Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie (widely hailed as the world’s most prestigious pastry competition) was held in Lyon on the 27th and 28th January 2013, as part of the 16th SIRHA Worldwide Event for the Catering & Hotel Industries. Keylink offer our hearty congratulations to the 2013 world champions France, Japan who came in second place and Italy in third.

In a very tightly fought competition, the UK team were ranked 9th out of the 22 teams and we are delighted to congratulate Javier Mercado from Le Cordon Bleu Ltd, London (covering pastry), Nicolas Bouhelier from Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Oxford (covering chocolate) and Nicolas Belorgey from Yauatcha, London (covering ice cream) on their fantastic performance! Congratulations also go to the UK team on winning the award of Best Entry Poster!
