Dear Customer,

As you may have already heard with the recent media coverage on the cocoa market, there have been significant increases on the price of cocoa butter. With overall price increases on many chocolate products imminent, we would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that our prices will remain fixed at current prices until January 2014. We appreciate that price increases are always unwelcome news, and as such, we hope that you are able to take advantage of our current prices and plan ahead.

Take a look at the graphs below and you can clearly see that the price of cocoa butter has continued to rise strongly over the last twelve months, even though the price of cocoa beans has only increased modestly. As a result there are likely to be substantial price increases in the New Year on any chocolate which uses large amounts of cocoa butter; including white chocolate, milk chocolate and also dark chocolates with a high cocoa butter content. There is some good news however: cocoa powder prices should come down!
