Ginger Gelato

Ingredients

  • 1kg of Colac Vanilla Base (SGC1008/SGC1008P)
  • 3kg Whole Milk
  • 300g Crystallised Ginger Chips
  • 30ml Ginger Flavour Oil
  • 150g Ginger Mini Cubes

Method

Ice cream and gelato aren't just for the warmer months, your customers enjoy frozen desserts all year round! This ginger gelato is a perfect autumn/winter treat, and would taste spectactular on a deliciously spiced cake (like this Apple & Caramel Cake), a fruity crumble, or simply on its own!

How to Make Ginger Gelato:

  1. Heat the milk (70-85°c)
  2. Add the Colac Complete Vanilla Base Mix and blend for 2+ minutes
  3. Allow to cool, add the ginger flavour oil and blend
  4. Then churn with Crystallised Ginger Chips
  5. Decorate with Ginger Mini Cubes and store as you would normally
