With just 3 months preparation time, Team UK battled 5 other nations for 5 hours at SIRHA in Geneva to scoop the European Pastry Cup. This outstanding win takes them through to the illustrious Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie in January 2015. The team consists of Martin Chiffers (Team Coach and President), Barry Johnson (Rococo Chocolates) and Nicolas Belorgey (Le Cordon Bleu). They were tasked with creating two fruit desserts, nine identical desserts and a sugar and chocolate sculpture. Themed on The Lion King, the team produced their fruit desert based on the Lyceum Theatre where the musical is being performed. The plated desert is a visual image of The Circle of Life, the chocolate sculpture is of Simba, The Lion King and the sugar sculpture is a colourful depiction of Zazu.
