Cargill buys deZaan^® - Important Changes.

We are writing to advise you that ‘Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate’ have recently acquired the chocolate manufacturer operations of ADM, including the deZaan^® brand.

The following changes apply to all deZaan® branded chocolates and chocolate décor products.

What does this mean for your business.

We have been assured that there will be no changes to the recipes of any of the deZaan^® or deZaan Gourmet^®chocolate grades, which means you will continue to enjoy the great quality and flavour that you have come to expect. However, there will be changes to the branding and packaging of these chocolates.

As they are in a transitional period, you may notice the following changes: Some of the outer boxes may be branded ‘Cargill’ and some may be plain. Product labels may say ‘Schokinag’ instead of deZaan^®, possibly only as an interim measure until they have decided on a new brand name, which may be announced later in 2016.

As some of you may remember, ‘Schokinag’ was the brand name before ADM bought it and rebranded it deZaan^®.

Product Specifications

Product specifications are also currently being re-branded with the Cargill^® name. As soon as we receive the latest specs we will put them up online for you to download.
