DPD Deliveries Update
Posted: 11 Nov 2020
Update for our carrier services up to Christmas
We have received an update from our carriers, to advise us that DPD are working hard to ensure all our customer orders are delivered on our next working day service as expected, but as the build up to Christmas continues, they know they are facing an extraordinary volume of parcels due to more people buying online, and are taking steps now to ensure our deliveries continue as smoothly as possible. For the coming weeks up to Christmas, they will be opening a new hub to allow more space to process the volume of parcels.
As part of their preparations for dealing with the volumes, they have decided that from 23rdNovember until 3rd January 2021, you will no longer be able to request a premium delivery for Saturday morning pre 10-30am and 12 noon deliveries. However, any orders collected from us on Fridays MAY be delivered over the weekend; either Saturday or Sundays, and particularly to residential addresses.
Are your details up to date?
If we have your mobile number on our system or if you receive order acknowledgements by email, then you will receive a message from DPD projecting the time and day of delivery. If you do not wish to receive the delivery at a weekend, you can reply to the text or email and they will return the delivery to the depot and reschedule it for Monday.
If we don’t have these details, unfortunately DPD won’t be able to contact you to advise.
How to update your details:
If you would like to add your mobile details to your account, or an order acknowledgement email address, please mention it to our Customer Service team when you place your order, or update it on our website.
